In the last couple of months, we have been soliciting your thoughts on tvADS.ie.  Many surveys were filled out, opinions opined and the odd swear word deployed.  Love us or hate us, lots of you had something to say.  88% of respondants would be somewhat or very disappointed if we went away.  70% have recommended us to a friend or colleague and the vast majority of you use us to keep up with what is going on in the industry (81%).  But, enough with the vanity metrics.

What did we learn?  There were some great suggestions.  Including;
  • Displaying more results on a single page.
  • There was no consensus on whether we should change our name away from tvADS to something more generic.
  • There was some interest in having a customise portfolio pages.
Of course, there was some blow back:

"Layout is shocking, genuinely an uncomfortable viewing/user experience. If we put months of work and thought into our TV ads, what gives you the thought that you can host them as square thumbnails, effectively destroying the time and effort that went into a frame composition. Preferred the old site."

There were some other complaints about the quality of the uploaded videos.  We have plans to address this and we recently added the ability for people to upload straight from Vimeo, which should help.

The judges reports also came in for a fair amount of criticism.

On the whole though, the feedback was good.  Thanks for taking part and feel free to keep it coming in the comments section below....
